Homelessness is a serious situation & problem. In real life babbling bearded homeless men wouldn't be allowed into many buildings simply for being stinky & ugly.
Once in a while there are bearded men with messy hair that look like they live behind a dumpster & yet, they have millions of dollars to their name.
So is this commercial appealing to the ferociously bearded man who lives in a nice condo while channeling his inner dumpster?
Its a sad reality that by looking like this you will not be permitted into several buildings. Ironically, some men that own buildings sometimes look like this, but at least they wash every day. Where as the real homeless man is left to live & shit behind the dumpster.
For anyone that has lived on the street they know that it isn't fun, so this Vonage-beard commercial doesn't make sense.

Living on the street means wearing stinky clothes all the time & getting many uncomfortable looks from people because you look like this.
There are some homeless men that occasionally look like Chin-Head. The ogre look causes women & children to run from such a beast.

Fortunately, Shrek the ogre doesn't appear as a face lost within a beard. Trolls along with the Ogre are usually monstrous bearded creatures. Its amazing how many men that aren't homeless want to look like an ogre or troll. Indeed, there is many an Internet troll that sports the look of an ugly bearded shape that lives under a bridge.
Bearded violence more than homelessness, has been depicted in several movies.
James_Bond is known to be quite a violent character at times, but not one of bearded violence.
After playing the role of Bond, Sean_Connery started to become a bearded gentleman.
If you loose your job & your home, you eventually have to get some new clothes & don't have the energy to shave and bathe.
There has always been a push to promote bearded violence throughout history.
