In contrast, the Burrard Bridge in Vancouver, BC used to have 6 lanes and had a provision for a lower deck for streetcars or tram-trains. Well, the lower deck was never completed and 2 lanes were removed, because the city wasn't interested in building a parallel bike bridge. Fortunately, several cities around the world have built bike bridges, instead of reducing traffic lanes on their bridges.
