In backwater Vancouver, you are so conditioned to think small and behold such small urban infrastructure. There are several generations of various overlapping imposed restrictions, that its almost difficult to behold the BIG cities around the world.

It would take until almost the mid 1970s for extremely restrictive Vancouver to permit a building to be taller than the LA City Hall. While the the LA City Hall has become like a stump, it would still be a prominent building if it was in provincial Vancouver.
